Dharwad, Sept. 5: “The responsibility of preparing well-cultured students and laying the foundation for the country’s progress lies with teachers. Therefore, there is no other profession like the teaching profession. Teachers have the supreme power to satisfy the hunger for knowledge and they need to act with awareness of their responsibility,” said retired teacher Sri Narasimha Galagali. He spoke as the chief spokesperson of the Teachers Day program held at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad, Neeralakatti. “The contribution of teachers is very important in building a strong society and a strong nation. Only those who have social thinking and concern can become good teachers.” On this occasion, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was remembered in the special program today. Speeches on Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan were given by the students, singing, and cultural programs were performed by the teachers. The students performed foot worship of the teachers.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಸೆ. 5: “ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಯುತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಿಪಾಯ ಹಾಕುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಂತಹ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ಇಂಗಿಸುವ ಪರಮೋಚ್ಚ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನರಸಿಂಹ ಗಲಗಲಿ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿನಡೆದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಸದೃಢ ಸಮಾಜ, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅತೀ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಚಿಂತನೆ, ಕಳಕಳಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ” ಎಂದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವತ್ತಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಡಾ. ಸರ್ವೆಪಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸರ್ವೇಪಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಕುರಿತು ಭಾಷಣ, ಗಾಯನ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆದವು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪಾದಪೂಜೆ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ನಡೆಯಿತು.
