Dharwad, Feb 28: National Science Day was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad. Smt. Debharati, a science faculty member was the speaker. In her speech she said ‘Science is not just a subject, it is a philosophy of life.’
National Science Day is celebrated to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist, Sir C V Raman on this day in 1928.
To make this event more Informative and educative, Science Saptaha was celebrated during the assembly. Children from different classes introduced Indian scientists and briefed about their contributions. On Feb 24, Quiz, Rangoli on Science diagrams, Poster making and Model making competitions were conducted. The winners were given prizes.
Sri Somaling of Music Department and his students presented a melodious Parisara Geete. The experiments which were asked to perform by the audience were fantastic and thought provoking.
