Dharwad, Dec. 24: National Mathematics Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad, Neeralkatti.Sri Anand Barangi, Assistant Professor, IIIT, Dharwad, who arrived as a spokesperson for the program, said, “The contribution of Indians in mathematics is immense. National Mathematics Day is celebrated to honor the contributions made by Srinivasa Ramanujan to mathematics. Students consider mathematics as an iron fist. It is essential to develop a positive attitude towards mathematics in children.”On this occasion, Srinivasa Ramanujan was remembered. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the mathematics quiz competition held in the school.The students spoke about the importance of Mathematics Day. Teacher Smt. Deepa Kulkarni recited the mathematics shloka.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಡಿ. 24: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗಣಿತ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಐಐಐಟಿಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆನಂದ ಬಾರಂಗಿ ಇವರು, “ಗಣಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾದದ್ದು. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ರಾಮಾನುಜನರು ಗಣಿತಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗಣಿತ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಣಿತವನ್ನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕಡಲೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗಣಿತದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ರಾಮಾನುಜನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಗಣಿತ ರಸಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಣಿತ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪಾ ಕುಲಕರ್ಣಿ ಗಣಿತ ಶ್ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸಿದರು.
