Dharwad, Aug 12: National Librarians Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad, Niralakatti. Columnist A. Bharti arrived and addressed the significance of the occasion. Father of Library Science Dr. S. R. Ranganathan was remembered. A magazine design competition was organized especially for children on this day. Prizes were distributed to the children who won the competition on the occasion. Class 7 student Harsha Gonde bagged the ‘Reader of the Year’ award.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 12: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗ್ರಂಥಪಾಲಕರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಂಕಣಕಾರರಾದ ಎ. ಭಾರತಿಯವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ದಿನದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ ಪಿತಾಮಹ ಡಾ. ಎಸ್. ಆರ್. ರಂಗನಾಥನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ದಿನದ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮ್ಯಾಗ್ಜಿನ್ ರಚನಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 7ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಹರ್ಷಾ ಗೊಂಡೆ ‘ವರ್ಷದ ಓದುಗ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
