Dharwad, Jan. 25: Ratha Saptami festival was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad, Neeralakatti. Sri Ramachandra Bhat, a Sanskrit teacher who arrived as a spokesperson for the program, said, “The sun is the visible god. The king of the solar system. Without the sun, living beings cannot exist. We worship and pray to the sun daily for good health, wealth and prosperity. Festivals come and go. But only when we understand the hidden meaning and scientific aspects behind their celebration, the celebration becomes meaningful.” Sri Atmananda Gadada, the school’s yoga guru, conducted a mass Surya Namaskar.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಜ. 25: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಥಸಪ್ತಮಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಭಟ್ ಅವರು “ಸೂರ್ಯ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ದೇವರು. ಸೌರ ಮಂಡಲದ ರಾಜ. ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಜೀವರಾಶಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪೂಜೆ, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಗೂಢಾರ್ಥ, ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಚರಣೆ ಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.” ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಯೋಗ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆತ್ಮಾನಂದ ಗಡಾದ ಇವರು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಸೂರ್ಯ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
