Dharwad, Sep 5: “Teachers have the responsibility to prepare well-educated students and lay the foundation for the country’s prosperity. Thus, there is no other profession like teaching. Teachers have the greatest power to satiate the hunger for knowledge. They should realize their responsibility and act accordingly,” said retired teacher Vidwan Gangadhar Bode. He spoke as the guest of honour at the Teacher’s Day program held herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharawad, Neeralakatti.Speeches on Dr. Survepalli Radhakrishnan by students, mass singing, cultural programs by teachers were held. The Pada Puja of the teachers by the students added a special touch to the programme.

ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಸಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 5: “ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಯುತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಿಪಾಯ ಹಾಕುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಂತಹ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ಇಂಗಿಸುವ ಪರಮೋಚ್ಚ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ವಿದ್ವಾನ್ ಗಂಗಾಧರ ಬೋಡೆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ನಗರದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸರ್ವೇಪಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಕುರಿತು ಭಾಷಣ, ಸಮೂಹ ಗಾಯನ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆದವು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪಾದಪೂಜೆ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೆರಗನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.
