Dharwad, Feb. 4: “The Sun is the visible God. The king of the solar system. Without the Sun, living beings cannot exist. We worship and pray to the Sun daily for good health, wealth and prosperity. Festivals come and go. But only when we understand the hidden meaning and scientific aspects behind their celebration, can the celebration be meaningful,” said Sri Manoj Khot, a science teacher. He was speaking as the spokesperson for the Ratha Saptami program held herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Dharwad, Neeralakatti “The myths say that the Sun was born on Ratha Saptami. Every year, the Sun changes its path and speeds up its work. The power to destroy germs lies in the Sun’s rays. Those who want health should worship the Sun.” The school’s yoga gurus, Sri Atmananda Gadada and Sri Mahantesh Degavi, conducted a mass Surya Namaskar. Narasimha B. sang the Yoga Geeta.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಫೆ. 4: “ಸೂರ್ಯ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ದೇವರು. ಸೌರಮಂಡಲದ ರಾಜ. ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಜೀವರಾಶಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪೂಜೆ, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಗೂಢಾರ್ಥ, ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೋಜ ಖೋತ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ರಥಸಪ್ತಮಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಸೂರ್ಯನು ರಥಸಪ್ತಮಿಯಂದು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನೆಂದು ಪುರಾಣಗಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪಥವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಚುರುಕುಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ರೋಗಾಣುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಿರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವರು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಯೋಗ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆತ್ಮಾನಂದ ಗಡಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ ದೇಗಾವಿ ಇವರು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಸೂರ್ಯ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ನರಸಿಂಹ ಬಿ. ಯೋಗಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದನು.
