Dharwad, Jan 12 : In commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary, National Youth Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra.
Chief Guest of the Program, Sri Adarsh Gokhale, a well-known columnist, inspired the students by giving many examples of great persons of the world who had admired and considered Swami Vivekananda as their Guru. After the program the special session was organized for the teachers and Sri Adarah Gokhale spoke on Samartha Shikshaka Deshada Rakshaka.
Sri Ashok Sonakar, the senior member of Rashtrotthana Parishat, School Secretary, Sri Raghavendra Ambekar and Pradhanacharya, Dr. Anita Rai were present. And ‘Vivek Chintana’ program was also organized three days prior to the celebration of Vivekananda Jayanti. All three days from Jan 10th to 12th, every morning, the teachers namely, Sri Vinayak Bhat, Sri Aravind Bhat, Sri Manoj Koth and Smt. Debharati elaborated on the noble thoughts like concentration, power and the childhood stories of Swami Vivekananda. Essay writing, drawing and speech competitions were organized for the interested students and the prizes were distributed during the program of Jan 12th.
