Dharwad, Aug. 15: “Independence Day is a day to commemorate the sacrifices and sacrifices of freedom fighters. What are our responsibilities on this auspicious day? We also need to make a resolution to contribute something to the country by understanding it. Let us all work together to eliminate the many problems in the society,” said Dharwad All India Radio presenter Sri Shashidhar Narendra. He was speaking as the guest of honour at the Independence Day program held herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra Dharwad, Neeralakatti. Principal Dr. Anita Rai delivered the presidential address. On this occasion, the birth anniversaries of Sangolli Rayanna and Maharishi Aurobindo were celebrated. Cultural programs such as singing patriotic songs, mass dance by students, speeches, and Mallagamba performance were held in the program.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಆ. 15: “ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರ ತ್ಯಾಗ, ಬಲಿದಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಶುಭದಿನದಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳೇನು? ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವೂ ಸಹ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸಲು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಮ್ಮತದಿಂದ ಪಣತೊಡೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಆಕಾಶವಾಣಿ ನಿರೂಪಕರಾದ ಶಶಿಧರ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅನಿತಾ ರೈ ಇವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಅರವಿಂದರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆ ಗಾಯನ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ನೃತ್ಯ, ಭಾಷಣ, ಮಲ್ಲಗಂಬ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆದವು.
