ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಡಿ. 22: “ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇವಲ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಚ್ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಾಂತರಾಮ ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಇವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಧಾರವಾಡ, ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ‘ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಸವ- ಸನಾತನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ’ವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ‘ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ, ಭಾರತೀಯತೆ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆ ತರುವಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡುವುದು ಒಂದು ಸವಾಲಿನ ವಿಷಯವೂ ಕೂಡ ಆಗಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನದಂತಹ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಆ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಕೂಡ ವನವಾಸಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದಂತಹ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಇವರು, “ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ, ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ, ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಆ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೇಶದ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅಂಬೇಕರ್ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನದ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅನಿತಾ ರೈ ಅವರು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ವಾಚಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ರವಿ ಕೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ನೃತ್ಯ, ನಾಟಕ, ಡೊಳ್ಳು ಕುಣಿತ, ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರಾಟ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
